Recently I recorded a cover song from an artist that inspired me to pick up the trumpet some more in the last few years; Ibrahim Maalouf.
Starting as normal practice on the trumpet, I decided to put some more effort into it and work out a complete song in the style of my band Hologram Earth.
Also, the trumpets were recorded using all home made (DIY)gear:
I used the RM-5 Ribbon and T-47 condenser(mic-parts) microphone, both going into a 1073 channelstrip (soundskulptor)
The guitars and bass were recorded through my Axe FX II XL, using a Ibanez RG2228 Prestige with Lundgren pick ups and a Lakland Skyline DJ-5 bass.
